2nd grade Let's talk about Christmas

As Christmas holidays were about to come, we spent several sessions to talk about it, to learn a bit more about this tradition in English. From the basic vocabulary to the basic dates and traditions by doing different sort of activities.

How is the place we live in? Which are the main rooms of a house? Which are the main objects or parts of a bathroom, a bedroom a kitchen... ? Where do we live? Either in towns or villages, at the downtown or on the outskirts, and even in the countryside. So, from an appartment to a dettached house or in a cottage.


This is the topic in which we worked on this December at class. Different sort of activities whose basic purpose has been to find out more about the place where we live.

these days we have been working hard, finishing the projects we did during the firsts months and connecting them...

Animals/numbers and colours;  parts of the body; Robots; emotions/feelings; Christmas... there are a lot of vocabulary and expressions...

This is an special time of the year and the project the group is doing is, off course, about Christmas!
What is Christmas about? What come to your mind when you think on Christmas?

We watched and commented "How the Grinch stole Christmas".

In a Christmas mood!

Christmas is just around the corner! We are already in a Christmas mood! We have all had fun while doing some crafts!

P5 and the senses .

Hello everybody ,

We started to work on the topic the senses.  We played different games,for example   throwing balls to a nose while saying I smell, to an ear , I hear etc. We drew some pictures related with the senses.
What can you taste and what can't you taste. For example they drew an apple that you can taste and a sun that you can't taste.
We used sentences like ; Can you see a flower ? Yes I can .  Can you smell a flower ?  Yes I can.  Can you hear a flower ?  No I can't.
The last class was together withg p4 where we focussed on friendship and sharing  while playing with fooditems and colouring a picture of two lovely pinguins.

P4 Can you taste the sun ?

Hello families,

The students brought home a colourful craft. The idea was that they drew a mouth ( with tongue), a nose , an eye and an ear. And combined it with a colour and a picture. For the sun on the yellow card  I used the questions for example;  Can you see the sun ? Yes I can. 
 Can you taste the sun ? No , I can't . Can you smell the sun ?  No I can't.  Can you hear the sun ? No, I can't. The activitie was a bit too difficult. Later on we try again !
Of course the p4 students made their own version of the craft. They wanted to glue the colours on the circle or make a different craft.

5th A - Race Cars III. Final Post

Hello Families,

the boys have finished the project... They may have arrived home with their cars...

They also wrote a short description practising adjectives and vocabulary.

1st grade - Secret project in progress

we can't explain much about the details... but the groups have started a new project... and the result will be a LOVELY SURPRISE!

Just don't be concerned if you see them singing and dancing in front of the mirror.

1st grade B - Robots

Hello families!

The last weeks the kids have been working on drawing and designing robots...
On one side, robots are really interesting and a cutting the edge topic. Furthermore, we can use them for practising a lot of vocabulary:
Shapes: triangle, square, circle, ...
Parts of the body: head, eyes, nose, mounth, neck, body, chest, arms, legs, hands, foot, ...
Position: on the top of, on the side of, ...

The results have been definetely cool!

2nd ESO - Mistery Murder

This week, the group played the game: Who killed Miss McGowan?

Each player receive a card with the description of a character, all the group read the background info and then... the questioning begins!
We need to find: Who is the killer? And why?

The activity allowed them to practise skills on reading and comprehension, speaking and deduction.
Moreover we had a great time  performing the characters!
