1A - Getting into numbers - Maths in a fun way!

 Dear families:

Here I am again to update news. After the Easter break, we have kept working on the area of numbers and Maths, in English. We are doing a great variety of activities to get into numbers funnily. Let me list some: "Join the dots", in which they join a series of dots in a certain order to make a silouette of an animal they know, the elephant; "Number Puzzle", in which they reinforce vocabulary about shapes as well as doing basic Maths operations; "Adding the dots", in which they roll a dice and make operations with the numbers they get, adding and substracting them alternatively; "Adding 2 sets", in which they get familiar with sets of objects and count and build up new vocabulary at the same time, and "Counting to 10", in which they are introduced to the expression "How many...?" and keep practising basic operations, and more and more.

In addition to that, the late sessions we have been practising listening skills in what is likely the funniest way of doing so: watching episodes of children's favourite cartoons in English. This activity is the reward for them after a well-done task with numbers and colours.

The plan is to continue introducing new contents, like more shapes or adjectives, in connection with numbers for the next few weeks. Anyway, we'll keep you informed about that and other things of interest to you!

See you on the next entry!

Byeeee!
