1st grade groups - PREPOSITIONS OF PLACE.

Hello to everybody!

We worked on prepositions last week. We did it by watching a video, that showed us what "on, under, next to, between and behind" works in English,  and by making a dice with which we finally played a game.

We joined all the groups to focus on such activity for several reasons. The idea was to do an activity which was suitable for all of them:  learning, working and playing at the same time.

It was a fantastic opportunity to work together again!

News from second grade (topics pirates and transport)

Hello everybody the last weeks we worked on the topic pirates and the last days we have been working on the topic transport.

Pirates:

We did several games about the pirate's clothes...For example throwing the ball in the air saying ...my pirate is wearing green trousers...then the student who had a pirate with green trousers had to catch the ball .
We did a treasure hunt and we made a real map to hide the treasure.

Let's see if we can find the flashcards related to pirates and answer the questions........and  of course we have to rest after running around.......

2nd grade like colors and Spring

yes, these kids like painting... therefore we start a special drawing task, they can't choose colours, they have to read and follow the rules written at the end of the page....

...the spring light makes curious effects with their drawings...

... at the end, great time, because they like challenges too!!!!

5th grade in the market.

Hi everybody!

Today we have been in the market. The students had a questionaire to answer, about the stands and products.
Although some of the stands were closed, they could interact with the people....
They even get a price: a catalan sausage (fuet)! Thank you to the butcher of Mas Quinana's stand.

1st grade enjoying sunny days

It's been sunny for some days! The best excuse to go out for a hunt!
We were in Plaça Clarà looking for usual things we can find in this usual area: trees, street lamps, traffic lights, buses, police cars...

We have do much diversity around us!!

P4 We are the pirates !!!!! Where is the treasure ???

Hello everybody!

Monday we went to the plaza Clara because pirat Jhon lost his parrot  and we found many feathers ................but no parrot.  Friday we went again like real pirates and with the spyglass.  We found a lot of treasures....flowers....2 chestnuts...a long stick......and saw many things and at the end we found a real treasure.

We found a hole in the ground...Perhaps the treasure is in the ground...???

2nd ... TWISTER FUN

P5 ... singing in the forest

P5 is learning a very nice song,

they practice the vocabulary about animals and also know new words... the musical instruments...

2nd ... Cloudy with chance of... final

continuing with the activities about the movie "Cloudy with chance of meatballs", they painted the the "favourite food"
 

they create their own "Spray Shoes" full of colours and shining

and then we saw a read aloud version of the original book on which the movie is based

And today ... we are going to play...TWISTER!!!!

P5 Pirates and princesses and a treasure !!!!

Hello everybody !  P5 received a special letter from pirate Jhon who lost his parrot.  As well they found a treasure !!!  Where is the treasure ????? aaaahhh There is the treasure !Then all the children were looking for more things for the treasure...jewels...and shining stars......
As well we were learning a song We are the pirates ...the pirates of the ocean ...we are the pirates young and free !!

P4 Looking for feathers..

With P4 we made a parrot with real feathers. Monday we went to the plaza Carmen to find more feathers. We found small baby  feathers and big feathers....and green...purple...red yellow  pink  white and blue feathers !!

Second grade's circus show....

Hello  ,Some weeks ago we prepared a circus show. It was real fun ! We could see  acrobats...strong men....clowns and a liontamer .

3rd Circuit

The circuit project continues. We are still improving the constructions, the stability, the best way to do it, which materials are better. Here a photo of our work last class.

THE CLASSROOM - MAKING A PENCIL CASE - 1st B and D

Two weeks ago, we did a series of activities related to the classroom. One of them consisted of making a pencil case. Doing so they learnt words like: rubber, pencil, sharpener, glue and scissors, as well as, reminded the name of the main colours.

Where do plants grow? - An activity with 3rd A

Last week, we worked a topic called "Where do plants grow?". It was a series of worksheets to learn about plants and trees and where we can find them in nature.

There was two aims: on the one hand, to learn different kinds of plants and trees:from oak trees to cactus; on the other hand, to learn different kinds of landscapes: from ponds and gardens to deserts.

After having matched up each plant and each landscape, they coloured the works as they liked most.

MAKING A PIZZA AT SCHOOL - SESSION ONE: GOING SHOPPING ALL THAT WE NEED!

Hi,

This week the boys from 3rd C have made a pizza at school. The first session they learned the main and the most important words related to such activity and, after that, we went shopping all the ingredients at the supermarket. There we reminded such words in English and practised what to say when we are going shopping.

The second session was dedicated to prepare all the stuff needed (a very special thank to staff from the kitchen for their help and support at every moment!) and to make the pizzas, of course.

Yesterday,  we started the class watching a short video, which showed the steps for doing such activity, and after that, we went down to the kitchen to put our pizzas into the oven. Finally, we wrapped them so that the boys could take them at home,

I hope you enjoyed with such delicious pizzas made by your sons!
