Halloween Review ( P4)

Hi Families,

Just coming to share with you some nice pics about the last Halloween.

We had been working with songs and games using the halloween 🎃 words.

P4 Colouring autumn leaves.

 It's Autumn, With p 4 we played being the wind and we coloured autumn leaves 

We listened to the song; The leaves are falling on the ground , the wind is blowing them around , it's autumn , it's autumn which colours can you see ? Green yellow red orange brown.

Outside we did the ritual of the magic bag and found enormous leaves in the bag. We followed instructions ; Put the leaf on your head, put the leaf between your legs , on your hand etc.  

We had fun !

1st grade/ Roll A Face

Students used dice to create random cartoon faces. 

We are learning to draw looking for Shapes. Vocabulary.. shape of face, eyes, nose, ears, mouth, teeth, circles, triangles, square, rectangles, and ovals.

P5 / School Supplies

P5 has been playing various games to re-inforce School vocabulary... school bus, pencil, pen, eraser, scissors, glue, chair, table, tablet, marker, ruler, paper clip.

2nd graders Autumn hearts

 Hello everybody   !!

So happy to be together again !!  Second graders are really motivated !

This week we started the topic Autumn .  We created some enormous hearts and printed leaves on them.

to make the heart we followed the steps

First we double the paper, , next we draw the curved line At last we cut the line,  the result a beautiful heart. And we talked about autumn ...Did you look for mushrooms ??? And a student said I like autumn because it's my birthday on friday.

We had fun !!!

And here is a pòem the 2nd graders are rehearsing a lot, and I hope one day we can  make a video.

This is tiny ,really small

This is short , this is long

Now I'm weak and now I'm strong

This high and this is low 

This is fast and this is slow

This hot and this is cold

Now I'm  young and now I'm old

This is naughty, this is rude

P4 Autumn leaves

Hello everybody !   

With P4 did many things. After the Halloween celebration we started with the topic  Autumn.

We listened to the song : It's Autumn which colours do you see?  Green yellow red orange brown

Out of the magic bag appeared very big autumn leaves. 

We followed instructions like : Put the leaf on your head, put the leaf between your knees, put the leaf on your finger, put the leaf on your foot, on your back etc.

Then we put a small leaf under a sheet and rubbed with a crayon, the result a beautiful coloured leaf..  We had a lot of fun !!

3rd Graders- About Halloween

  I come flying just to leave you the latest news about last Halloween!  We have had a great time listening to songs, learning vocabulary and mainly learning in the most fun way: Using games!

1B Happy Halloween

Hello everyone!!!

Our halloween celebration was cool!

We played cool games as a intro and then during the week we made a  mask and a pumpkin puzzle! We used card board, colors and a stick.

We danced and sung Trick or Treat song.

We had fun preparing a monster slime and we put it all in the halloween bag.

P5 / Halloween

Students created monsters using various parts of face to show Expression. Vocabulary : angry, tired, sleepy, happy, sad.

On Halloween students danced to various Halloween videos that we have been practicing the past few weeks .Vocabulary included: witch, mummy, ghost, skeleton, black cat, jack-o'-lantern, bat

P5-C After Halloween, it's time to start a new topic, animals!

Hi, again,

After celebrating Halloween, we have started a new topic at class: animals. We have seen some of the most common wild animals in the world: tigers, lions, elephants, zebras, giraffes, bears, wolfs, penguins, frogs and more and more. Not only did we discover how to say and spell, but we also played with such new words in different ways. 

It would be beneficial to practice these words at home every now and then. I invite you to do so!

1st Grade / Food

1st grade these last weeks have been practicing various food vocabulary.. jam, bread, strawberries, toast , juice, milk, eggs going to the supermarket phrases.."Can I have?"

P5 / Origami houses

We have been learning about house/parts of the houses..Vocabulary includes.. windows, doors, roof, inside, outside.. P5 designed their own houses.

P5 - Drawing faces

We are thinking about Halloween  and monsters and are practicing different ways online draw faces. Vocabulary..ovals, circles, thick\thin lines, expressions, happy, sad, angry, nervous, sleepy tired.

5th graders Being scary !!!

Hello everybody !!  !! Last thursday we started with some Halloween activities. 

We made a scary video and created a special card with an invitation for a Halloween party.  For example ..Where : In the hounted houser...What time  21.00 o clock, If you want to come you have to wear a scary  costume, paint your face and bring a pumpkin. And we learned the sentence ; If you don't go give me sweets ( money, choclate etc ) I will throw eggs at your house,( put spiders in your bed etc). 

We had fun !!!

Into Halloween mood

Hi families!

2nd graders are into Halloween mood. We're enjoying and preparing some activities and learning new vocabulary like: Cauldron, witch, pumpkin, ghost and many more...and we sang the song spooky spooky over and oiver again  and used the sentence Trick or treat if you don't give me sweets I´ll throw eggs in your house.

2nd graders Going out

 Hello everybody !  

With secondgraders we went out several times. The last classes we played the game ; Have you got....????.In this game the children have to get the head , the trunk and the legs (tail)  of a person.

 The persons are ; a clown , a mermaid a chear girl, an indian , a ninja , a robot  and a  pirate .

The students ask questions like ; Have you got the mermaid's tail ?  Have you got the  clown's head ?

Have you got the piratew's legs, Have you got the clown's jacket ?

The winner of the game is the person who has gathered the three parts of the person.

It's a lovely group !!!

P4 Cooking a magic soup !

 Hello everybody !

Magic in the air ....Magic everywhere. With P4 we are gettting slowly in the mood for Halloween.   

Together we cooked a magic soup. We put a spider, a snake and leafs in the pot and sang ;

 ' We are cooking a magic soup.'

We coloured a witch and drew a snake  and a spiders to put in the soup.

Next week we will celebrate Halloween.

1A. The family & the first verbs of movement

 Hi, everyone😊

The family👨👩👴👵👦👧 is one of the topics we have seen recently. We are already familiar with the main members of the fanily and the relations among them. We can identify the fahter and the mother, the grandpas, the brother and the sister, and even the aunt and the uncle. Besides that, we have learnt the words "brother and sister, son and daughter". 

We have also talked about our own families (Do you have any brother or sister?, for example), and we have named our family members' names (My mother's name is ..., for example).

We have just got into the first verbs of movement (jump, run, climb, swim, skip and slide)

P5-C. We are in the alphabet and the numbers!

 Hi, everyone

We have been working on the alphabet and the numbers lately. About the alphabet, which is a fundamental thing to control, we are doing several activities to get familiar not only with the letters themselves,but also with their spelling. On top of that, we are adding some useful vocabulary connected with every letter through flashcards. These flashcards are from a wide range of topics, such as apple, bear, cat, dog, elephant and so on. 

Maybe you can take some practise of letters; spelling objects you have at habd when you are with your children. It can be a way of reinforcing the contents we do at class!

About the numbers, these clever children are able to count up to twenty. Introducing them to numbers in a fun way, with no pressure at all, can be another good complementary activity to do at home, too.

P4 Emotions

 Hello everybody !!!

With P4 we did many things !   We sang the song If you are happy and you know it  clap your hands , if youy're angry and yoy know it stamp your feet, if you're  sad sad sad say o noooo. (you tube)

 We painted a happy face and keep on repeating the bodyparts , colours and animals. 

 As well we played the game;' the crocodile is hungry.' In this game the animals have to try to touch the crocodile but when the cocodrile sees you moving  the cocodrile is shouting 'Go back'

1B GROUP - History time!

We helped the teacher counting the shapes and saying the colours but the funniest thing was to notice the rabbit's trap.

P4 Smiling with a Cute Clown🤡

Hello family!  The children are motivated and are very participative these days.  The most important thing now is to establish our new policy and group rules.  It's fair to say that they are doing very well.

We are now focused on getting to know each other.  We are describing our bodies and also how we feel.

They are curious and that is good!  We have been working on our emotions. Structures as:  How do you feel?  Are you sad, Angry or happy?  I am happy.  

We have also included in our routines talking about the weather, what’s the weather like today?  

Oh, you have to know we have got a magical hat in this class which helps then to speak in English.

We have learned parts of the face, and we have played to build and deconstruct the face of a cute clown and we have played to guess which part was missing.

Structures like: What is missing? Let's put the nose on the clown’s face.

Finally, as you can see, we continue enjoying the sunny days in the garden ☀️🌈🌱
