2D- Building a house for our group

Hello!

We started with a new project. We have done some worksheets to practice vocabulary and spelling about the rooms of the house and the furniture related to them.

We've seen some images of a cataloge and talked about the special things in our own bedrooms.

After that, we will apply the vocabulary in creating a common house for this group, deciding all together the colors for the common rooms like the kitchen, bathroom, living room...
The fact of going through this handcraft part involve the children into action and the concepts are integrated with positive-emotional experiences with the friends. This way the information takes a shape inside them and is integrated further than just as information.

This will take us some sessions. Now we judy finished the bedrooms and we are starting with the common rooms.

After that, when the whole house is finished, we will speak about the different actions we can do in each rooms. The idea is to play with the house reproducing the learned actions with small puppets, which can also have short dialogs.
