4th grade - AIRPORT PROJECT

Hello followers,

On 3rd November we started a project that was really wished by our students: the Airport project.

First, we focused on some key words relating such topic like "to take off", "to land", "check-in, "luggage", "hangar" and some basic questions to take a flight.

Second, we described an airport, its main parts and its functions as well as vocabulary words relating to the jobes and their roles like pilots, air hostesses, mechanics and so on.

Third, we started making our own airport in miniature by using recycled materials and school supplies.

It has been a long project, which has lasted for six sessions, but we really thing it has been worth spending such period of time in it. Generally speaking, the students' response has been fantastic because of their interest.

Not only have the students enjoyed and learned specific vocabulary and expressions, but also us, the teachers, have been surprised of their ability to make an airport from a tin or a piece of cardboard. They're really skilful boys!
