1st grade practiced Winter vocabulary by creating an Advent Calendar.
Some of the vocabulary we practiced throughout the month were...snowman, snowflake, hot cocoa, gifts/presents, reindeer, ice skating, jacket / scarves, stars, Christmas tree, and fireplace.
As we created our calendars, everybody took part in the drawings and collage that were used to create them. Each calendar had the artwork of each student, as we discussed Community and the value of sharing and teamwork to create a more exciting and diverse work of art.
